The Doves & Roses 2nd Blogiversary Giveaway is now officially closed! Thanks so much for all of your entries and lovely messages. I will be announcing the winner right here on the blog on friday, so stay tuned!
There is something about the fancy black and white Chanel packaging that sets my heart racing. I was really exited to try their new Dimensions de Chanel Mascara. I’ll give you a quick review of the mascara in this post, but you could try it for yourself! I am currently running a giveaway to celebrate my second blogiversary and the prize includes a lovely mini of this mascara. Excited? Read all the details right here.
One of the products that surprised me most over the last few months has been the Dead Sea Spa Magik BB cream in Natural. I found this in one of my LookFantastic beauty boxes and didn’t have high hopes, as I am not usually a fan of BB creams (or any product that feels the need to use silly letters like CC). This one is a little different though, as I kept reaching for it this summer.
Just a friendly little reminder that I am currently running a great giveaway to celebrate my second blogiversary! You can win a beauty box with lots of lovely goodies, including a mini of the new Chanel mascara and a set of Eylure lashes.

I seem to go through eye make-up removers at a scary pace. I have been testing several these last few months and I have almost finished this Etos Eye & Lip Make-Up Remover Cleansing Oil.
Lovely deep blue nail polish, silly name! Google informed me Clitoria Ternatea is a plant with beautiful blue flowers in the same hue as the polish, so the name makes sense for a company like Soigne producing natural nail polish. Still, not the easiest to remember or type, so perhaps the brand should spend a little more time on thinking up suitable yet cute names.
I adore organic beauty products and recently I have been testing out several new brands to find skincare that is both green and affordable. While browsing for a new face oil, I came across the Little Miracle Rosehip Serum by Balm Balm. I was rather curious about the brand as I have never tried anything by Balm Balm before and at a mere £14.50 (about $18 / €16) a bottle it certainly met the affordability criterium. So, is this a little miracle?
Max Factor makes some of my absolute favourite mascaras, even better than some of the high end brands I have tried. They have struck gold again with this Voluptuous version of my much beloved False Lash Effect mascara.
During a recent work trip to Canterbury, I was lucky enough to have a couple of hours off to explore the city. What a lovely place! I also managed to squeeze in a quick visit to Boots to grab some great beauty goodies.
I am returning from my little blogging hiatus with a bang: a giveaway to celebrate Doves & Roses turned two this week. I cannot believe it, time has simply flown by and I have had so much fun meeting new people and becoming part of the blogging community. A word of warning: this blogging stuff is rather addictive.
